Greetings from Chilly Lima!
While most of our family and friends in the Northern hemisphere are getting geared up for a sunny summer, we are entering the winter season here in the Southern hemisphere. We wanted to update you on what the Lord has been doing here in Lima.
March: Visiting Teams
In March, we had the joy of welcoming a team of Spring Break missionaries. Our whole family was able to serve alongside them as we conducted research in several neighborhoods around Lima. This work is part of our Lima City Team’s vision to launch five new church plants in different districts over the coming year. These research efforts are helping us understand how best to reach each community where God is opening doors.
April: A Fun Stateside Visit
April brought a change of scenery! Jared traveled to Richmond, Virginia, for a global Digital Engagement team meeting. It was a valuable time of planning as we work to equip new personnel in using digital tools to share the gospel.
While Jared was away, Amy and the kids were able to visit family in Georgia and Tennessee—their first time back to grandparents' homes in over two years. We’re so thankful for the rest, reconnection, and yes... some very yummy Southern comfort food!

May: Training the Next Wave of Digital Workers
After returning to Lima, our team jumped right into hosting a Digital Engagement training for AMP teams. It was a full family effort!
- Caleb helped greet attendees
- Joshua managed the slides
- Elizabeth led worship
- Amy prepared the food
- Jared (with the global team) taught the sessions
By the end of the week, five new teams had been equipped to use digital tools to reach people with the hope of Jesus. Praise God for such fruitful collaboration!

Celebrating Mother’s Day with Church Family
Mother’s Day is a big celebration here in Latin America, and our church in Lima made it special. We enjoyed a joyful time after service with thoughtful gifts from the kids and a delicious spread of snacks. It was a sweet reminder of the importance of honoring the women who nurture and lead within our homes and churches.

Equipping for Biblical Counseling
This week, we’ve been part of a biblical counseling training hosted by one of our colleagues in partnership with Southwestern Seminary. Over 110 participants from local churches across Lima joined us to learn foundational principles of counseling from the Word of God.
Many of these attendees will continue on the path toward certification with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). We’re excited to support a local cohort in this process and see how God will use this training to strengthen the church in Peru.

How Can You Pray?
As we look ahead to the months of winter here in Peru, we’d love your continued prayers:
- Local Digital Engagement Tools: Jared is developing new tools for digital campaigns. Pray for clarity, creativity, and effective testing as we prepare to share them with teams around the world.
- Biblical Counseling Cohort: Pray for the Peruvians continuing their ACBC certification process. Ask God to sustain and grow them as we walk alongside them in the coming months.
- Online Gospel Response Team: We’re praying for more local believers to serve as digital responders. Our most recent campaign brought in messages from people struggling with addiction, grief, and despair. Pray that each person will encounter the transforming hope of Jesus and be connected with a local church.
Thank you for your love, support, and faithful prayers. We’re so grateful to be on this journey with you!
With love from Lima,
Jared, Amy, Caleb, Joshua, and Elizabeth
